Soccer

We thought it might be fun for Jake to participate in a "multi-sport" class for a few weeks. It is at the new Avondale Sports Complex right down the street from us. The first two weeks were soccer, the second two weeks are baseball, then basketball and football. It's pretty fun to watch him "play."

Friends!

We had such a nice visit with our friends last weekend. Erin, Sareana and Alex Kelly came down from Portland to thaw out a little. We had a great time watching the boys play together. They hadn't seen each other since Jake was about 4 or 5 months old. They got along great! We wish they lived closer to us, but hopefully with airline daddy's we can keep seeing each other periodically.

Baby Murphy

Jake is 2!

One of Jake's (and Dad's) favorite activities is reading together before bed. I know this isn't a birthday picture - but it was taken right around his birthday and fit in with this posting :-)

 Jake has perfected the art of smiling for the camera, complete with a cheesey grin. Here he is having a birthday cupcake - or maybe just smearing it on his face. I'm nor sure if any of it made it into his mouth.

January fun

Here we are after Brian's 12 hour race in Tempe this past Saturday. He did a great job!
