Jake has recently taken an interest in working out. We are so proud of him for wanting to better himself at such a young age. Here he is (with Brian's help of course) doing his first set of 12 reps on the chin up bar.

Jake is often emotional after a good hard workout. His favorite thing to do is to wrap up in his "monster eating my head" towel and have a good cry.

7 Months Old

I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone already. How can he be 7 months old? Seems like I was just pregnant ... I know, everyone says the same thing. I guess you don't realize how true it is until you actually have one of your own. Here are a couple of pictures from today, and one from a few days ago.

So today I put Jake on the bathroom floor, in his little play area, while I took a shower. He kept crawling out (commando style, not real crawling yet) and trying to eat the bath mat. After I finished I put him back into the play area while I went to grab some clothes (I think I was gone for about 15 seconds, just around the corner) when I came back this is what I found. So, I guess it's time to baby proof the house.

We went to visit Grandma Jean this week in Maricopa, AZ. We had a really nice visit. Jake just loves his Great Grandma Jean - and her teddy bear that say "I love you" when you push it's paw.

This is Jake's new beautiful cousin Mylie. She was born July 9th to Steve & Amy Hoff in Chico, CA. These pictures were taken when she was about 4 weeks old.

We are in front of Shubert's Ice Cream shop - this is where everyone in the picture (except Papa Rich & Grandma Debbie) had their first ice cream. Shubert's has been open in Chico since 1938 and makes the best ice cream and candy all in their little shop! It has been a family tradition for over 33 years to go get ice cream cones and walk around Downtown Chico.

I know, four pictures of the same thing is a bit much. I just couldn't decide which picture to chose. We are so happy that Lewis is being so good with Jake. Jake LOVES Lewis and is fascinated by him - whether watching him walk by or petting him.

"Singing"

Jake is getting quite vocal - especially at mealtime and when I am on the phone. If I talk to Brian on the speaker phone, Jake immediately squeals when he hears his Daddy's voice. Pretty darned cute!
