Morning in the garden

We found our first ripe zucchini this morning. Our garden is going crazy! I think it likes the new shade fabric we hung up to protect it from the insane Phoenix sun.

Jake wanted to taste the tomatoes ...

Hmm ... I'm guessing they weren't quite ripe.

Why you shouldn't ...

feed your baby spaghetti without CLOSE supervision (as in, don't try eating your own dinner at the same time - even if you are sitting next to him).

Ice Cream & Family

Jake LOVES chocolate ice cream. Grandma Foot shared hers and made a new best friend. These pictures are from our family trip to Schubert's Ice Cream in Chico. A tradition in my family!

Trying to take a group picture is always challenging ..

First Haircut

Brian and I finally came to terms with the fact that our little boy had grown a mullet. Not wanting Jake to look like "Joe Dirt" (look it up on google if you need to see a picture), we decided it was time for his first haircut. There is no better first haircut than the one given to you by your Grandma who happens to be a professional! Jake now looks like a little man with a super cute haircut. Thanks mom!

Nice outfit - who dresses this kid?

Run away!!

Papa's Shop

Jake got to spend some time out in the shop with Papa Rich and Brian. His favorite thing (besides hugs from Papa) was the floor jack. He found it pretty it pretty interesting! He also has an uncanny knack for finding greasy stuff to sit in.

The Blue Wig

Grandma Foot brought a nice blue wig to Chico ... It looks FABULOUS on everyone!

Chico!

We went to Chico to visit my family last week .. it was such a nice trip! I took 250 pictures (oooops!), so it will take me a little while to get organized and post my favorites. I know I am going to overdo it with the amount of pictures from our trip, but I am having a hard time picking and chosing!

The following pictures were all taken and the park I grew up playing at - Caper Acres in Chico CA. It is not exactly like it was when I was a kid, but still similar enough to make me feel a little homesick for my park. It was cool to see Jake playing there like I did at his age.

These pictures were taken at my parents house ..
