Jake LOVES chocolate ice cream. Grandma Foot shared hers and made a new best friend. These pictures are from our family trip to Schubert's Ice Cream in Chico. A tradition in my family!

First Haircut
Brian and I finally came to terms with the fact that our little boy had grown a mullet. Not wanting Jake to look like "Joe Dirt" (look it up on google if you need to see a picture), we decided it was time for his first haircut. There is no better first haircut than the one given to you by your Grandma who happens to be a professional! Jake now looks like a little man with a super cute haircut. Thanks mom!
Papa's Shop
Jake got to spend some time out in the shop with Papa Rich and Brian. His favorite thing (besides hugs from Papa) was the floor jack. He found it pretty it pretty interesting! He also has an uncanny knack for finding greasy stuff to sit in.
Chico!
We went to Chico to visit my family last week .. it was such a nice trip! I took 250 pictures (oooops!), so it will take me a little while to get organized and post my favorites. I know I am going to overdo it with the amount of pictures from our trip, but I am having a hard time picking and chosing!

The following pictures were all taken and the park I grew up playing at - Caper Acres in Chico CA. It is not exactly like it was when I was a kid, but still similar enough to make me feel a little homesick for my park. It was cool to see Jake playing there like I did at his age.

The Whiskey Offroad
Brian did the Whiskey Offroad "50 Proof" race last weekend (April 24th) in Prescott, AZ. It was a great weekend. Prescott is really cool. It would be fun to live there someday! Jake is really starting to associate Brian with bikes. He was pointing at the bikes that day and saying "dada!"
This dude does the race every year, but doesn't really enter the contest. He doesn't wear a jersey or ride a nice bike - but he is really fast! Rumor has it he is a homeless dude who just enjoys a good bike race.
Here comes Brian ... almost at the finish line. Great job sweetie!
Nothin' like an after race stretch with your boy.
No New House
Jake decided the new house was not to his liking.
We actually withdrew our offer after not getting a timely response from the sellers Realtor. This short-sale market is weird. Lots of stuff for real cheap, but lots and LOTS of hoops to jump through and bad communicators galore.
No big deal. We will find something, or not! We like the house we live in already :-)
